We endeavour to submit the initial application within 2-4 weeks of receiving signed authority. However, for more complex applications with more voluminous supporting documentation our initial application, this pre-application stage might take up to three months. Once the application has been submitted, the timescale is entirely at the discretion of the Home Office. The Home Office publishes broad timescales of between three to six months.
